Dr Ben Abbot is a GP Obstetrician / Surgeon who has been working for the Goyder’s Line Medical Practice since 2007. Dr Abbot graduated from the University of Adelaide and has since worked and trained at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Modbury Hospital in Adelaide as well as interstate in Gosford, Taree, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Cummins, Millicent, Launceston, Kangaroo Island and Balimo PNG.

Dr Abbot has a Bachelor of Medicine, a Bachelor of Surgery and a Diploma of Obstetrics. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Dr Abbot also is involved in junior doctor training through GPEx.

Dr Abbot’s interests include; General Surgery including Carpal Tunnel, Hernias, Ganglions, Skin Cancer surgery and more. He is also Qualified to do insertions and removals of Mirenas, and has extra training in Sports Medicine.
